All about Villa Operta

Villa Operta is a private residential compound, consists of  1, 460 sq.m. Within the compound we have Mango Trees,  Cacao, Kalamunggay ( Horse Radish Leaves known scientifically as Molinga Oleifera), Rambutan, Coconut trees and etc....
Among other buildings within the compound stands the main residential house  Villa Operta which means "open house". Why open house? If you study the picture of the roof, you will find a secondary "roof" which can be moved on the rails. Thus we can "get the palms into the house",  and on starlit nights you may stretch out in  a good chair and feel like an emperor of the universe.
The living room, 8x5m  is in the middle of the house surrounded by kitchen and 5 bedrooms each with toilet and shower cabinets, that's why we had to put in 4 painted "windows" creating an illusion that the house is in a valley. The river on the west side runs from the hills in the south and into a beautiful lake, while the river on the east side is coming down the hillside and disappear.
Beside this unique residential building we constructed  an unfurnished    2-divisioned house intended for the workers with its own toilet and  dirty kitchen. We also have a 2-car garage, a tools room, and  "Washington" which means house for washing. In washington,  we have a small divisioned-wall intending only for our swimming pool paraphernalia.

The sea does a lot of harm to properties along its shores. Happily we are 300 m away from the erosion areas, but the beach is shallow far out and nice for children.

CLIMATE:
You may have seen  TV reports from Manila showing floods and typhoons, but the weather in Negros Province is very different. If you think of a typhoon and a rainstorm as a lady in a wide dress, coming dancing  into the Manila Area,  her dress will only shortly sweep over Negros.

Costs:
Water is around 500 pesos every month.
Electricity : If you use aircondition, refrigerator, & etc. it cost you every month around 5 thousand pesos.
Building and Land tax: Every year you pay around 2 thousand five hundred pesos to the municipal. Its cheaper to pay  month of  january , februay and march.
